Electrical Safety

Electricity is an integral part of our lives both at home and in the work place. The Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that up to 7% of all workplace fatalities each year can be attributed to contact with electric current. You can avoid becoming a statistic by using safe work practices while working on or near de-energized electrical parts.

Workers who do work on or near de-energized electrical parts require training on how equipment is de-energized and locked /tagged out, how to safely work on or near de-energized parts, and what safeguards to use. This training session covers the safe work practices to be used while working on or near de-energized electrical parts.
