The programs are required by the EPA of all aviation entities and personnel who handle petroleum products on airports. The EPA in 40 CFR 112 requires that all personnel who handle fuel recieve Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasures Training. Additionally, the EPA also requires in 40 CFR 122 that personnel shall be trainined in Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans. Each of these courses are required during intial employment training and annual refreshers are also required.
Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC)
This courses is authored by George S. Gamble, PE of 2G Environmental, LLC, of Marietta, GA. Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) Training is required under 40 CFR 112. This training is required during initial employment training. Annual refreshers are also required under the law. This program is available for unlimited use for a 365 day period. You will be notified 30 days prior to being unenrolled. Simply enroll in the course again, pay the annual fee and begin training. Many times the course will be updated to remain current with national standards and laws.
Storm Water Pollution Prevention (SWPP)
This course meets the Environmental Protection Agency's requirements of 40 CFR 122 and is authored by George S. Gamble, PE of 2G Environmental, LLC, of Marietta, GA. Storm Water Pollution Prevention (SWPP) Training is required under 40 CFR 122. This training is required during initial employment training. Annual refreshers are also required under the law.
